Moie Qian Yang is a multidisciplinary designer based in New York and Guangzhou.
Her areas of interest and practice include womenswear, textiles, costume design, accessory design, character illustration, comics, graphic design, and independent publishing.
Growing up, she moved homes and transferred schools often, which allowed her to gradually get used to and enjoy being alone. She learned to be self-sufficient and became more introspective, often ruminating about life. Deeply influenced by films and anime, she also sees herself as a storyteller. Her work contains thoughts and reflections on the ordinary things in life. Presenting frozen moments of beauty, she hopes the audience can garner a sense of nostalgia for a lost time.
