MATA LEAO

Mata Leao is a collection that focuses on functionality of the products used in the martial art: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The name itself pays homage to the art by referencing the famous choke known as Mata Leao, or more famously known as the Rear Naked Choke. This collection identifys the current issues in the functionality of the products used in Jiu-Jitsu such as the training bags that are used, and the kimonos.
In Jiu-Jitsu, infections can run rampid. Most notorious in the sport are Staph, and ringworm. By using 100% hemp textiles in this collection, infections are killed on contact through the natural antimicrobial effects that hemp carries.
