Bio

As a fashion designer, my goal is to create unique and meaningful collections that challenge the traditional boundaries of fashion. For my latest collection I found inspiration in the construction job sites of New York City.

Using wood as the primary material I aimed to create a collection that reflects the raw and rugged nature of the construction industry, while also exploring the beauty and versatility of this often-overlooked material. Each piece in the collection has been carefully crafted with a focus on sustainability and durability, ensuring that they will stand the test of time.

When I was exploring construction job sites in New York City, I was struck by the variety of colors and textures that were present. From the rich green hues of the scaffolding to the cool gray tones of the concrete and steel, there was a wealth of inspiration to draw from.

As I began to conceptualize my collection, I knew that I wanted to incorporate these colors and materials into my designs. By using wood as the primary material, I was able to capture the warm, earthy tones of wooden framing beams, while also incorporating the strength and durability of the construction materials.

In terms of design, I drew inspiration from the mundane objects and materials that are commonly found on construction job sites. These objects may be overlooked by many, but to me, they are beautiful in their simplicity and functionality. Each piece in the collection reflects the beauty and functionality of these objects, while also incorporating the warmth and texture of wood.

I chose to use a variety of different colors in my collection. This allowed me to create pieces that were both visually stunning and highly tactile, with a rich texture and depth that reflected the raw and rugged nature of the construction industry.

In addition to the wood, I also drew inspiration from the metallic accents and hardware that are commonly found on job sites. I incorporated these elements into my designs, using hardware and other metal details to add an industrial edge to the pieces.

Ultimately, my goal with this collection was to create a unique and meaningful tribute to the construction job sites of New York City, while also highlighting the beauty and versatility of wood as a fashion material. Through this collection I hope to challenge the conventional notions of what fashion can be. By using wood as the primary material, I am not only creating unique and visually stunning pieces but also highlighting the importance of sustainable and eco-friendly fashion.
