Youngwon Jo

Youngwon Jo is a fashion designer originally from Seoul, South Korea, who currently resides in New York City. Her interest in merging modern architecture with wearable garments stems from her upbringing in major cities and her fascination with the constructed spaces that shape our perceptions of the world.

Youngwon is drawn to the silhouettes of various buildings around the city, especially construction sites that are layered with metals and sheer covers. She enjoys playing with transparency, fracturing, and layering different shapes and colors to add depth and complexity to her designs. Her interest in futuristic styles has led her to incorporate metallic materials and abstract/voluminous shapes into her work.
