Yi Wu

Yi Wu is a New York based artist and maker. In Yi’s practice of art, she believes art is not the direct, personal expression of individual emotional experience-a translation of personal life into visual terms. Instead, she believes the making of art involves a self-consistent language, dependent upon or free from defined conventions, or systems of notion, which have to be worked out through study and a long period of individual experimentation.
